New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building

The New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building at 476 Fifth Avenue, an NYC landmark, is in good hands with union contractors and the New York City District Council of Carpenters. This $317 million renovation will provide more public library space, as well as a new entrance on 40th Street, a new learning center, an enlarged exhibition space, and additional room for researchers. The project is another impressive example of union carpenters and contractors demonstrating their high standards of excellence in craftsmanship. Contractors on this project include NJS Office Installations, Inc., American Wood Installers Inc., Reilly Contract Installations, Curtis Partition Corp., Woodworks Construction Co., and Jacobson & Company, Inc.
