DISTRICT COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS TRAINING CENTER
The Carpenters Training Center is jointly sponsored by union carpenters and contractors to provide members with the training needed to bring the highest level of skill and safety to projects throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
New members are trained as apprentices in six state-approved programs for general building carpenters, concrete carpenters, millwrights, dockbuilders and timbermen, floor coverers and cabinetmakers.
Our apprentices receive nearly 600 hours of classroom instruction and more than 5,000 hours of on-the-job training over four years under the supervision of highly qualified industry professionals.
Experienced union carpenters have access to a lifetime of continuing education to stay up-to-date in the latest technologies and safety standards. Nowhere else in the industry does a similar commitment exist to a trained, skilled and safe carpentry workforce.
