The South Battery Park City Resiliency Project envisions the development of an integrated coastal flood risk management system extending from Wagner Park across to the northern border of the Historic Battery. Collaborating with skilled union contractors and Dockbuilders from the New York City District Council of Carpenters, the project strives to deliver high-quality solutions that establish a dependable coastal flood control system. This system is designed to mitigate risks to properties, residents, and assets within South Battery Park City. The SBPCR Project is a pivotal component of the broader Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency (LMCR) Master Plan, which encompasses multiple projects aimed at enhancing coastal resilience.
