Major League Soccer is coming to Queens, built by union contractors and carpenters with the New York City District Council of Carpenters. At Willets Point, they are constructing Etihad Park, New York City’s first professional soccer specific stadium and Major League Soccer’s first fully electric venue.
On this 25,000 seat, $780 million project, the team is performing structural concrete work, erecting steel framework, installing exterior precast panels, and completing interior carpentry systems and specialized installations throughout the facility.
Opening ahead of the 2027 MLS season, the stadium transforms Willets Point into a major civic destination. This skilled workforce is delivering the specialized labor, coordination, and craftsmanship required for complex, large scale construction.
