At 40 West 137th Street, a major addition to Harlem and NYC’s public health infrastructure is taking shape. The NYC Public Health Laboratory, connected to Harlem Hospital, will support vital research and public health initiatives. This project is brought to life thanks to the expertise of union contractors and carpenters from the New York City District Council of Carpenters.
Since our last update, skilled teams have joined the effort, contributing to key areas like interior commercial work and custom woodworking. Their dedication and attention to detail will ensure this lab becomes a cornerstone of innovation and public health for years.
