52nd Annual Apprentice Contest and Open House

Yesterday the New York City District Council of Carpenters Training Center hosted its 52nd annual 4th Year Graduating Apprentice Open House/Exhibit. The graduating apprentices participated in building projects for the trades of General Carpentry, Interior Systems, Dockbuilder, Timbermen, and Floor Covering. Manufacturers of construction tools and equipment were also present sharing information on the latest and greatest technology coming to the industry. Congratulations to all the winners!

The Apsley Completes Construction

Work is now complete at The Apsley at 2330 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. At over 100,000 square feet, this senior living facility will be one of the most modern and cutting-edge in New York City. The structure yields 76 assisted living and 80 memory care apartments with a total capacity of 178 residents. Gowanus Canal Cleanup moves forward

Rainstorms and flooding have brought numerous problems to NYC’s public spaces and waterfronts.
